ZIGIT is Coming to Golf Courses Near You

America is all about instant gratification. Golfers most definitely fall into this category – not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Relate to this: You’re hacking away at the fourth hole and desperately need to quench your thirst. But the beverage cart is nowhere in sight and it’s likely 20 minutes before you and an ice-cold beer meet. Talk about sheer and utter disappointment.
Now for the solution: A new company, BizBoxes, developed a platform whereby golfers get the adult beverages they want, when they want it and where they want it.

BizBoxes’ secret sauce is ZIGIT. This new proprietary technology allows golfers to buy can and bottle alcohol through attractive, stand-alone ZIGIT-enabled machines (boxes) at locations along golfers’ journeys.

How it works: Golfers complete a 90-second, one-time enrollment, which includes ID authentication and collection of biometric markers, to verify they are of legal age to purchase alcoholic beverages. They then simply scan the QR code on the ZIGIT-enabled box, select their desired drinks, take a quick selfie to confirm their identity, eligibility and payment processing, and collect their ice-cold beer and mixed cocktails, as well as water and soda.

Convenience is the ticket. Get what you want in 30 seconds. That’s super cool, mobile-enabled, facial recognition app technology.

Better yet, golfers should plan to soon see ZIGIT-enabled boxes populating Midwest courses like no other.
They will greet golfers at outdoor restrooms / comfort stations along the course, at the first tee and the turn, and on driving ranges. Boxes only need a flat surface, can run on a standard electric outlet without the need for Wi-Fi and can also sturdily hold up against tough weather. They require little to no maintenance (stocking takes less than 10 minutes, mainly after-hours) and can hold up to 600 drinks.

It’s even more attractive for golf courses owners and operators to partner with ZIGIT as the best sales friend they didn’t previously have. ZIGIT:
• Provides golfers with immediate, gratuity-free access to the alcoholic beverages they love
• Generates meaningful, incremental revenue at higher margins
• Requires less overhead and staffing headaches
• Upholds compliance controls, including drink limits per day, per user
• Tracks real-time inventory
• Reduces alcohol inventory shrinkage which often reaches 30%
• Speeds up pace of play

Profits are also tied to selling at least one more drink (a 20% lift) to golfers each round, as well as including drinks at ZIGIT-enabled machines for all golf outing and tournament participants.

This type of secure technology is widely used in airport travel, banking and government identification-checking applications.

And ZIGIT has impressed those who used it at the 2023 PGA TOUR Wells Fargo Championship and who are currently using it at the American Airlines Arena, home to the NBA Dallas Mavericks and NHL Dallas Stars, as well at other sports and entertainment venues. No more waiting in long lines at concession stands.

ZIGIT could be the coolest innovation we’ve seen in golf in a long time. It benefits golfers and golf courses in one fell swoop. Not a lot of technology boasts that.

His other dream, albeit far-fetched, it to record an ace in all seven states of our distribution area. Thanks to an ace in Illinois in 2015, and one in Michigan in 2016, he has three down, four to go!
