Bolingbrook, IL – Mistwood Golf Dome, (Formally McQ’s) the top indoor golf facility in the Chicago area, has installed the new Toptracer Range technology by Toptracer. It’s the first installation in the country for this transformative entertainment technology at an indoor golf dome facility.

“We are extremely excited to bring the Toptracer technology to the Mistwood Golf Dome transforming our indoor dome driving range experience to a fun and virtual environment that will precisely track players shots as if they were outside on interactive screens and provide fun gaming applications for both golfers and non-golfers,” Dan Bradley, Mistwood general manager, said.

“This is the first of its kind in Chicago as well as the country for an indoor dome and we look forward to bringing this innovation and fun entertainment experience for the next generation of golfers as well as attract new players to the game.”

When McQ’s Golf Dome opens for the winter season on Nov. 1, it will plan to be under its new name, Mistwood Golf Dome. The dome has been under the umbrella of Mistwood Golf Club and owner Jim McWethy since 2012, who has created one of the premier golf and entertainment experiences in Chicago with both facilities.

“We have created one of the strongest golf brands in Chicago with all of our recent upgrades, renovations, and awards with Mistwood Golf Club”, said Bradley. “Since acquiring McQ’s and having been operating it under our Mistwood umbrella, it only made sense to change the name and continue providing the same high-level golf experience our customers expect at a Mistwood facility.”

The 60,000 square-foot facility has been transformed into an innovative and dynamic golf range center where golfers and non-golfers alike will improve and enjoy games utilizing the Toptracer Range technology.

Toptracer Range is revolutionizing the driving range experience, and at the Mistwood Golf Dome it will be part of the scene that also includes casual lounge seating, TVs, and premier food and beverage service via the attached McWethy’s Sports Bar.

Golfers looking to improve their game and seeking instant feedback from shots are loving the Toptracer technology, which shows the flight path of the golf ball with valuable shot data such as distance (carry and total), ball speed, launch angle, height, and more.

At Mistwood Golf Dome players of all skill levels will be able to compete against friends and family in fun skill games, and also play virtual golf on simulated courses including Pebble Beach and other iconic layouts with other players from around world live in approximately 500 bays at other golf facilities.

About Mistwood Golf Dome

Formally McQ’s, the new and improved Mistwood Golf Dome, which is under the same ownership group as nearby Mistwood Golf Club, has become the leading indoor golf dome experience in the Chicagoland area. The 60,000 square-foot heated facility offers golfers a great way to keep the game in shape during the winter months. Whether its practicing your full swing at its 50 hitting stations utilizing the new Toptracer technology, or keeping the short game tuned up on the two 900 square-foot putting greens complete with an indoor short game area with sand bunker, the Mistwood dome experience offers something for everyone. The facility is also home to the popular McWethy’s Sports Bar, a fun entertainment venue featuring a variety of fine fare including award-winning wings and over 30 craft beers. His other dream, albeit far-fetched, it to record an ace in all seven states of our distribution area. Thanks to an ace in Illinois in 2015, and one in Michigan in 2016, he has three down, four to go!
