BRAINERD, Minn. (April 1, 2024) — Cragun’s Resort, Golf & Conference, a Minnesota landmark with a storied history spanning multiple generations, is set to unveil a new chapter in its legacy with a grand relaunch on April 1. The historic resort, nestled in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area, has undergone transformative multi-million-dollar renovations over the past several years aimed at preserving its timeless charm while elevating the guest experience to contemporary standards.

To celebrate this milestone Cragun’s is offering a special room rate of $199/night, when purchased between April 1 through 15, to be used during this summer’s peak season, between July 7 and August 29, 2024. A minimum purchase of two nights is required. To take advantage of this special, limited-time offer, log on to https://reservations.travelclick.com/73835?RatePlanId=8515468.

The largest renovation project in the property’s nearly 85-year history included expansion and reinvestment in resort accommodations, championship golf courses, event and meeting spaces, and outdoor recreation.  Cragun’s offers more than 109,000 square feet of indoor event space, ample outdoor event space, over 200 lodge hotel rooms plus cottages and cabins, and an expansive marina. The resort fronts over a mile of lakeshore on Gull Lake.

Cragun’s Legacy Courses’ $17 million golf course expansion project includes the new Lehman 18, designed by Minnesota’s native son Tom Lehman, plus 27 additional renovated holes, also designed by Lehman. The final nine, the Dutch Red, will be open in late summer.

Another addition is The Private Collection, a vacation-ownership program with custom-designed homes located on the Cragun’s Legacy Golf Courses. Homes currently under construction will be 2800+ square feet, including five or more bedrooms, and five baths with open living and dining areas, plus a chef’s kitchen. High ceilings and large windows throughout each home afford panoramic views of the Lehman 18. All homes will include a private patio and firepit with outdoor entertainment spaces and grilling options. Prices start in the high six-figures and the homes are now available for sale.

“We are enthusiastic about the renovations, expansion, and new branding for Cragun’s,” said General Manager Eric Peterson. “Keeping with Dutch Cragun’s legacy and the traditions founded by Dutch and his family, these investments in our resort will certainly appeal to both our longtime patrons as well as new visitors.”

Cragun’s Resort, Golf & Conference employs over 300 people, hosts numerous conferences, and continues to make ‘friends and memories’ for many families, just as it did when it was founded in 1940.

His other dream, albeit far-fetched, it to record an ace in all seven states of our distribution area. Thanks to an ace in Illinois in 2015, and one in Michigan in 2016, he has three down, four to go!
