Epson Tour Announces Partnership with MGI Golf

The innovative partnership inspires regulations change to create athlete equity

Daytona Beach. Fla. (February 26, 2025) – The Epson Tour announced today a partnership with MGI Golf, global leader in technology for the walking golfer and maker of America’s No. 1 electric golf caddy. Along with the partnership, the news included a change to the Epson Tour regulations, allowing athletes to use electric caddies during competition.

With the addition of the MGI partnership, the Epson Tour becomes one of the first major professional tours to allow electric caddies to be used during competitive play. The previous regulations required a player to either have a caddy, carry their own bag, or use a manual pushcart at events. The change in regulations is effective immediately, allowing athletes to use electric pushcarts at the first tournament in 2025, the Central Florida Championship.

“We are thrilled to welcome MGI Golf as a partner,” said Jody Brothers, the Epson Tour’s Chief Business and Operating Officer. “The change in our player regulations, allowing this partnership to come to life, will have a monumental impact on our athletes who do not regularly utilize a caddy. Our goal as a Tour is to make the dream of playing on the LPGA Tour accessible for all our members, and this is a significant step in the right direction.”

Through the partnership, MGI will support the Tour Athletes with exclusive pricing on MGI products throughout the season. Additionally, the Australian-owned and operated company will have the opportunity to sign Epson Tour athletes as brand ambassadors for the 2025 season.

MGI’s current brand ambassadors consist of numerous highly credentialed PGA Pros from golf and country clubs around the country, making their future Epson Tour ambassadors their first professional golfers. More information on MGI’s current ambassadors can be found HERE.

“We are more than excited to partner with the Epson Tour as it continues to redefine the future of women’s golf in the U.S. The Epson Tour is truly leading the charge, demonstrating innovation, talent, and the vital role it plays in developing the next generation of LPGA stars,” said Miranda Turner, CEO of MGI Golf Inc. “At MGI, we are incredibly proud to support this exciting shift in the game, standing behind these driven athletes as they compete – state by state, course by course – on their journey to the top. Our commitment to the Tour reflects our passion for empowering every golfer to achieve their dreams and keeping the tradition of walking and fitness in mind. We are excited to be part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking movement in 2025. This is a huge step forward for the growth of golf, and we can’t wait to see where it leads.”

An Australian owned and operated company for more than 32 years, MGI’s commitment to quality and innovation has earned it the title of America’s No. 1 electric caddy brand in just eight years since entering the U.S. market. MGI has been at the forefront of changing the way Americans walk the course while leading the charge in acceptance of the technology, improvement in golfers’ fitness, and the enjoyment it offers, making the brand an ideal partner for the Epson Tour and its top-tier athletes.

Through its commercial fleets at many U.S. courses and clubs as well as retail opportunities, MGI electric caddies are highly accessible to the growing number of American golfers who prefer to walk the fairways like the pros. In addition to being recently named the official electric golf caddy of Troon and becoming a proud member and Gold sponsor of the Association of Golf Merchandisers, now joining the Epson Tour as its official electric caddy partner extends MGI’s impact on the way the game is played.
