Wisconsin Dells, Wis. – (Oct. 24, 2016) A renovation is underway at Trappers Turn Golf Club that features all new bunkers. In an effort to continuously enhance guest experiences, Trappers Turn has teamed up with Oliphant Golf to renew all greenside bunker complexes for all 27 holes. The renovation includes:
 ·        Bunkers being edged back to their original shape or new dynamic shape
·         The removal of all existing sand to eliminate the contamination of silt and rocks
·         The renewal of a flush line above each bunker that connects to a new drain tile
·         The filling of new sand that is compacted and raked to avoid “fried eggs”
“The project started last week and is moving along nicely,” says Patrick Steffes, Director of Golf and General Manager at Trappers Turn. “We plan to complete this project before the snow flies to have the best greenside bunkers possible moving forward for our guests to enjoy or to try to avoid!”
Trappers Turn Golf Club offers an unparalleled adventure for its guests. The award-winning course is masterfully molded to accommodate the needs of golfing enthusiasts by embracing individual characteristics, complementing playability and confronting challenge. The club is continuously looking for ways to improve its members’ and guests’ experiences.
Trappers Turn anticipates completing the improvements by November 2016. With ongoing renovations, Trappers Turn is still open for play this fall. For tee times and great fall rates, visit TrappersTurn.com or call 608.253.7000.
