Vokey WedgeWorks Introduces New Tour Toe Stamp Wedges

‘P-G-S-L’ toe engravings now available on select Vokey SM10 wedges

CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 6, 2025) – Titleist introduces Vokey WedgeWorks’ all-new Tour Toe Stamp offering, giving all golfers the opportunity to game Vokey Design SM10 wedges with a unique, tour-inspired look.

The new feature is based on one of the latest trends from the Titleist tour truck. In recent years, Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill began receiving requests from players looking to remove the loft, bounce and grind markings from the sole of their wedges and replace them with a stamped letter: ‘P’ for pitching wedge, ‘G’ for gap wedge, ‘S’ for sand wedge and ‘L’ for lob wedge. This custom treatment quickly grew in popularity, with many tour pros seeing ‘P-G-S-L’-emblazoned Vokeys in the bags of fellow players and requesting Dill do the same for their wedges. Will Zalatoris, Tom Kim and Wyndham Clark are among the list of players on the PGA TOUR currently gaming a full set of toe-stamped Vokey SM10 wedges.

Starting today, select Vokey Design SM10 wedges featuring ‘P-G-S-L’ toe stamps are available through Vokey.com, while supplies last. The new Tour Toe Stamp wedges will come with a Raw Finish and are featured in the following right-hand models only:

  • P: 46.10F
  • G: 50.08F, 52.08F
  • S: 54.10S, 54.14F, 56.10S, 56.14F
  • L: 58.08M, 58.12D, 60.04T, 60.08M

BEHIND THE TOUR TOE STAMP

Given the amount of players Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill services (Vokey Design wedges accounted for 53 percent of the gap, sand and lob wedges on the PGA TOUR in 2024), the requests he receives week-to-week are wide-ranging. The vast majority are purely performance-driven, but Dill’s renowned creativity in the wedge stamping space often lends itself to a number of more stylistic requests. Names or initials of family members and friends, mottos, team names, song lyrics and more have been inscribed onto the backs of countless Vokey wedges from Dill’s setup on the Titleist tour truck or at Titleist’s golf club headquarters in Carlsbad, California.

“The customization of wedges has changed so much over the years,” said Dill. “I can remember my first time visiting the tour department in Carlsbad in May of 2005 and seeing Bob’s in-house sample rack with dozens of custom wedges. Almost all were stamped with a player’s initials, and I thought that was such a unique way to tell whose wedge was whose. I started stamping myself, and shortly after I joined the tour in 2007, I saw an opportunity to go further and explore new and fun ways to highlight players’ personalities on the backs of their Vokey wedges.”

It didn’t take long for Dill’s canvas to extend past the back of the wedge. Having worked with numerous players who needed loft adjustments on their wedges – either for the purpose of achieving a specific carry number or altering offset or bounce – he began experimenting with sole stamping. Dill would weld out the original loft marking and replace it with a stamp of sorts. The most popular stamps became the ‘P-G-S-L’ letters.

For some players, the toe stamps were a fun and interesting way to give their gamer wedges a new look in the bag. For others, the stamps solved a real issue:

“One player I recall needed his sand wedge to carry an additional eight yards, but he didn’t want to change to a different model,” said Dill. “Even though a stronger-lofted sand wedge helped him hit the number he was looking to fly it, he hated seeing the new loft on the sole. The easiest solution was for me to remove the loft marking and replace it with a simple ‘S’ stamping. He loved it, and the feature stuck.”

Today on tour, ‘P-G-S-L’-stamped sets of Vokey wedges are as popular as ever, and the requests continue to come Dill’s way.

VOKEY SM10 TECHNOLOGY

  • Progressive Center of Gravity Placements – Vokey Design SM10 wedges feature optimized, progressive center of gravity (CG) placements to achieve precision in distance and trajectory control. In the 46-52-degree models, the CG is lower for a better transition from the iron set and more consistent distance gapping. The CG is also pushed out closer to the center of the face, helping to eliminate excessive draw movement and provide a more solid feel, based on tour player feedback and testing. In lofts 54-62, the CG is moved up and forward, which provides lower trajectory and a squarer face at impact. Loft-optimized CG allows for more consistent, controlled flight, better feel and tighter dispersion from the top end to the bottom end of a player’s wedge setup.
  • Patented Spin Milled Process for Maximum Spin – Vokey’s patented Spin Milled groove cutting process provides a scoreline that delivers higher, more consistent spin, wedge after wedge. Vokey SM10 wedges feature TX9 grooves that are individually cut based on loft and finish: the grooves on the stronger-lofted wedges (46-54 degrees) are cut narrower and deeper, while the higher-lofted wedges (56-62 degrees) feature wider and shallower grooves. A parallel micro-texture between grooves helps to maximize spin on partial shots, and a high frequency heat treatment is applied to the impact area, doubling the durability of the groove edge compared to untreated grooves.
  • Progressive Shaping, Enhanced Profiles – Vokey SM10 wedges are updated from the prior generation with progressive shaping by loft and consistent profiles to inspire confidence in every player. Lofts 46-52 degrees feature a smaller profile and a straighter leading edge, while lofts 56-62 degrees have a larger footprint and a more rounded leading edge.

  ADVANCED PERSONALIZATION AND CUSTOM OPTIONS

Vokey Design SM10 wedges feature a modern, clean look, which provides a canvas for customization. The WedgeWorks custom options include:

  • Eight unique toe engravings (on back of wedge, not sole)
  • Stamping options | 10-character Straight/Freestyle stamping; 15 characters around the toe; and two lines of 10 characters each
