Titleist Introduces New Lineup of Vokey WedgeWorks Grinds

Vokey’s WedgeWorks program expands on versatile SM11 lineup with L, A, K*, A+, V and 62M Grind lob wedges

CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 27, 2026) — Vokey WedgeWorks introduces its new lineup of lob wedges, bringing the latest Vokey technology to an even wider range of sole grinds. All six tour-proven offerings are available now on Vokey.com.

In addition to Vokey SM11’s six in-line grinds and industry-leading number of loft, bounce and grind configurations (27), golfers now have access to five additional lob wedge grinds: L, A, K*, A+ and V. The 62M joins WedgeWorks as well for players seeking more loft in Master Craftsman Bob Vokey’s favorite sole grind.

“Having more grind options just gives us more tools to work with, whether it’s with tour players or dedicated amateurs,” said Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill. “When a player gets their hands on the right grind, everything seems to click into place. The WedgeWorks lineup gives us the chance to find that optimal fit across even more playing styles and delivery patterns.”

Each new WedgeWorks lob wedge is offered in the tour-favorite Raw finish. WedgeWorks SureFit fitting heads are also available at select Titleist fitting locations, allowing more golfers to test the full array of Vokey sole grinds.

GRIND OVERVIEW

L Grind

The L is a narrow-soled, low-bounce grind with heel, toe and trailing edge relief. Its sole width fits between the slightly narrower T Grind and the slightly wider M Grind. It is well-suited for golfers playing off firm to neutral turf conditions.

Compared to other low-bounce options in the Vokey lineup, the L Grind offers slightly more protection from excessive digging.

“The L Grind is for the player looking for the versatility of a low bounce wedge but still needs some forgiveness,” Dill said. “The forward bounce on the L helps to slightly reduce digging, but players are still able to open it up and slide under the ball easily.”

Ludvig Åberg, Brian Harman, Michael Kim, J.T. Poston, Billy Horschel and Sungjae Im are among the players currently gaming an L Grind lob wedge on the PGA TOUR.

  • Available lofts: 58 and 60 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Low/4 degrees

A Grind

The A Grind originated from conversations between Aaron Dill and Geoff Ogilvy, who was looking for a wedge that would perform well on the firm conditions commonly found in Australia. Dill approached Ogilvy’s request by modifying his L Grind, smoothing out the ribbon, or grind lines, to create the A Grind. This resulted in a sole that moves through the turf with very little resistance, ideal for the player looking to slide the wedge under the ball in firm, tight conditions.

The 2023 U.S. Open champion is a longtime A Grind player, having used the sole design to capture his first major championship.

  • Available lofts: 58 and 60 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Low/4 degrees

K* Grind

One of the most popular lob wedge grinds on the PGA TOUR, the K* features a low-bounce sole that originates from the .06K Grind. Instead of the full, smooth sole of the K, the K* features a steeper pre-wear on the leading edge as well as heel, toe and trailing edge relief.

The pre-wear helps resist excessive digging on square-faced shots, while the heel, toe and trailing edge relief adds greenside versatility when the face is opened. Like all K Grind variations, K* has a wide sole that excels out of the bunker.

Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Lottie Woad and the 2024 Champion Golfer of the Year are among the many players who travel with a K* lob wedge in their bag week in and week out.

  • Available lofts: 58 and 60 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Low/6 degrees

A+ Grind

The A+ Grind is a mid-bounce wedge that originated from removing the grind lines from an M Grind — the same modification that turns an L Grind into an A. Because of this, the A+ moves faster through the turf than its related M Grind, but it features more bounce and a wider sole than the A. This helps the A+ Grind excel in firm to neutral conditions.

“On tour over the years, we started seeing some loyal M Grind players who were finding that sole to be a little too bouncy for their liking,” said Dill. “Those players found the leading edge of the A+ sat a bit lower, and the wedge moved faster through the ground, unlocking a bit more versatility.”

The 2013 Masters champion is one such player, regularly gaming a 60A+ on the PGA TOUR.

  • Available lofts: 58 and 60 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Mid/8 degrees

 V Grind

The V Grind is a mid-to-high-bounce wedge that features a forward section of increased bounce for forgiveness on square-faced shots along with heel, toe and trailing edge relief for enhanced versatility on open-faced shots. It excels in neutral to soft conditions.

“V Grind players are often a little steeper in their deliveries,” said Dill. “They have a little more shaft lean, which means they’re delofting and taking some bounce away. The V Grind also really suits them in softer conditions, or if they’re playing on courses with grainy turf. That’s where the forward bounce comes into play.”

Jackson Koivun, the world’s top-ranked male amateur, is a longtime 60V player.

  • Available lofts: 58 and 60 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Mid–high/10 degrees

62M Grind

The M Grind, available in 58 and 60 degrees in the SM11 lineup, is Bob Vokey’s favorite grind. It is a mid-bounce grind that is exceptionally versatile, with a sole shape that excels across a variety of conditions and promotes shot-making around the greens.

The 62-degree M Grind offers more loft for players looking to elevate and stop the golf ball quickly from shorter distances.

  • Available lofts: 62 degrees
  • Effective bounce: Mid/8 degrees

NEW VOKEY WEDGE TECHNOLOGY

Each new WedgeWorks offering shares the same technology platform first debuted in SM11, including:

  • Precise CG positioning: In previous Vokey wedge designs, center of gravity (CG) positions varied slightly across grinds within the same loft due to differences in sole widths and geometries. Now, CG placements are matched within a given loft, independent of grind. This allows for more consistent flight and feel while eliminating a variable in the fitting process.
  • Progressive CG placements, groove shapes: Higher-lofted wedges feature a higher and more heel-ward position compared to stronger lofts, designed to produce a lower flight and a squarer club face. Higher lofts also feature wider and shallower grooves to better channel debris around the greens and on partial shots.
  • New directional face texture: Vokey’s latest offerings feature a new directional face texture which provides increased friction and prolonged ball contact. More time with the ball on the club face allows the grooves to impart more reliable spin control on delicate greenside shots. The texture, angled towards the leading edge, also protects the scorelines and keeps groove edges clean and consistent.
  • Increased groove volume: Vokey’s newest Spin Milled grooves feature 5% more volume than SM10’s grooves due to improvements in manufacturing and tighter tolerances. This helps to clear more debris and retain spin, especially from the rough or in wet conditions.
