Hope in Every Swing as Community Unites Against ALS
MILWAUKEE, WIS. (April 7th, 2026) – Tee off for ALS! Hosted by the ALS Association, golfers and community members will come together for a day of golf, friendly competition, and entertainment while raising crucial funds to fight ALS at the ALS Golf Classic Wisconsin, presented by Nicholas Family Foundation taking place at The Wisconsin Country Club on Monday, June 8.
Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS robs people of the ability to walk, talk and eventually breathe. Through an extensive network, the ALS Association is on the ground in all 50 states providing support for people living with ALS and their loved ones by ensuring they have access to critical care programs and services.
The ALS Association hosts numerous golf tournaments across the country. The inaugural ALS Golf Classic in Wisconsin aims to raise funds for global research, advocacy efforts, and local care services. The event will take place at Wisconsin Country Club, a private course known for one of the area’s most challenging and scenic 18-hole layouts. Designed by Harry Smead and David Gill, it features tree-lined fairways, intricately contoured greens, and strategically placed bunkers.

About ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Over the course of the disease, people lose the ability to move, to speak, and eventually, to breathe. The disease is always fatal, usually within five years of diagnosis. Few treatment options exist, resulting in a high unmet need for new therapies to address functional deficits and disease progression.
