KemperSports and the City of Lake Forest announced today that an effort to renovate and update Deerpath Golf Course, located in Lake Forest, Ill., began on September 18, 2017. The $1.1MM golf course improvement plan will enhance playability and conditioning of the golf course by installing continuous cart paths and improving drainage throughout the municipal gem.

“We have made great strides in improving the conditions of the course and we are confident that this renovation will situate Deerpath for continued success,” said General Manager Vince Juarez. “These changes are an important next step.”
In addition to improving existing cart paths and addressing drainage concerns throughout the golf course, Deerpath Golf Course also recently renovated their outdoor patio space, including the installation of a banquet /outing tent – making it a popular event space for golfers and non-golfers alike.
Deerpath Golf Course has been an important community asset for more than 90 years,” said City Manager Bob Kiely. “These renovations of the golf course and the clubhouse, as part of the overall Master Plan for the facility, will enhance playability and enjoyment for all Lake Forest residents.”
The four-month renovation began on September 18. The golf course will continue to remain open and operate 18 holes during the construction.
