Our cover and feature story takes us to Northern Bay Golf Resort in Arkdale, Wisconsin. The property is under new ownership, and as staff writer Matt Tevsh explains they are determined to make their course relevant again.
We cruise less than an hour south to Green Lake, to the dual course threat that is Lawsonia. You’d be hard pressed to find a property with a more deep and varied history. Golf historian and photographer Dan Moore does a wonderful job of sharing his vast knowledge with us.
Senior Writer Glen Turk is back in the land of Sparty to file a cool story on how the NCAA has embraced Michigan State University as two area courses will be hosting three NCAA Championships between 2019 and 2021. That leads us to our annual Golf Gallery Guide, which highlights all the live tournaments we can attend in the Midwest.
Finally, an issue of Midwest Golfing Magazine would be sorely lacking without Chip Shots, Deb Patton’s Forward Tees, and Turk’s Takes. We still have our popular Pro Page, but we would like to introduce the new pro at Fire Ridge GC, Nate Gray, who takes over for Andy Podolak. I think you’ll enjoy his writing style and and his take on the golf swing.
