Just when it seemed Big Cedar Golf had thought of everything, Johnny and JP Morris found another way to elevate the guest experience. The new Top of the Rock Putting Green & Putting Course, which officially opened on July 4, 2026, is a beautifully crafted two-plus-acre putting complex overlooking the breathtaking waters of Table Rock Lake and the Cathedral of Nature. Featuring nine imaginative holes on pristine bentgrass greens, the putting course offers fun and challenge for golfers of every skill level while serving as the perfect warm-up before tackling the iconic Top of the Rock par-3 course.

The addition continues Big Cedar’s commitment to creating golf experiences unlike anything else in the country. Guests playing Top of the Rock enjoy complimentary access to the putting course, while visitors dining at any of the resort’s Top of the Rock restaurants can experience it for just $10, which includes a rental putter and a custom-logo golf ball. Coming one year after the debut of the wildly popular Cliffhangers par-3 course, the new putting course further cements Big Cedar’s reputation as America’s most innovative golf destination—where every new attraction is thoughtfully designed to blend championship golf with the natural beauty of the Missouri Ozarks.

Glen Turk is a Wisconsin native who has been the Senior Writer/Editor of Midwest Golfing Magazine since 2006. Besides being an avid golfer, Glen enjoys traveling, music, and cheering on the finest professional sports team of all-time, the Green Bay Packers. Glen’s ultimate golf goal is to play in all fifty states and currently he is more than half way there. His other dream, albeit far-fetched, it to record an ace in all seven states of our distribution area. Thanks to an ace in Illinois in 2015, and one in Michigan in 2016, he has three down, four to go!
