Watertown, WI – June 12, 2025 – Watertown Country Club (WCC), a cherished local golf destination since its founding over 100 years ago, is proud to announce a new era under the ownership of Silver Creek Investors, a passionate group of golf and community enthusiasts dedicated to revitalizing the club’s role in Watertown and the surrounding area.

The transition marks the beginning of a strategic, community-forward vision aimed at making WCC a hub for golf, dining, events, and connection. “This isn’t just a change in ownership, it’s the start of something bigger,” said Dan Rahfaldt, WCC Board Member and Silver Creek Investor. “We’re investing in the community, not just the course.”

Oliphant Golf Management helps manage operations and supports the General Manager, Golf Pro, Bar Manager, Chef and Grounds Crew.

A Private Golf Club with a Friendly Welcome

WCC remains a private, friendly golf course, now with a wider range of affordable membership options designed for golfers of all ages, skill levels, and activity preferences. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, there’s a membership plan to fit your lifestyle and budget.

In addition to private memberships, WCC is expanding its commitment to the broader Watertown community. The 2025 event calendar includes a wide variety of public and member events for men, women, families, and youth. These include tournaments, social gatherings, and family-friendly activities throughout the year.

WCC hosted a new event, Mats and Mimosas on Sunday, June 1. Nearly 30 men and women from the community participated in a yoga session, sipped on mimosas and enjoyed brunch on the patio.  “It was wonderful to do yoga in such a serene environment with a beautiful view of the golf course,” said Krista Weninger.  “I hope WCC makes this a regular event.”

Growing the Game for All Ages

One of the club’s top priorities is developing an engaging golf community for adults, teens, and children. As part of WCC’s mission to cultivate a lifelong love for the game, the club is launching a new junior golf program for both members and non-members. This initiative aims to teach golf fundamentals in a fun, inclusive setting, fostering young talent and interest in the sport. The junior golf program kicks off on Wednesday, June 25 and lasts for six weeks.  You can learn more about the junior golf program here.

More Than Golf: A Destination for Dining and Events

The WCC restaurant, open to the public, is also undergoing exciting improvements. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu features appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrées, including a popular Friday Fish Fry.

The restaurant and bar areas are available for private event reservations, offering a warm and welcoming space for weddings, celebrations, meetings, and social gatherings.

WCC’s arbor creates a beautiful setting for outdoor weddings.  A large private patio with a fire pit is available to host a wedding reception, party or event.

A Vision for Community Connection

Looking beyond golf, the new ownership is actively developing a comprehensive long-term strategic plan aimed at making WCC not just a top-tier golf course, but Watertown’s premier social and recreational hub. “We see WCC as more than a golf course; it’s a potential cornerstone for community connection,” said Ryan Nowatka, WCC Board President and Silver Creek Investor. “We aim to be a go-to venue for public and private events, and we’re eager to work with local leaders to create custom experiences and host meetings, celebrations, and community-building initiatives.”

WCC is actively seeking golf and social members, community partners, and investors who share the vision of a modern, inclusive, and thriving country club grounded in tradition but open to growth.
