TripAdvisor Community Votes Branson (Mo.) No. 3 in ‘Top Trending U.S. Destinations’ Category

The 19th hole at Payne's Valley is perhaps the finest way to conclude a round in the nation.

Lakes, Golf Courses, Ozark Mountains, Family Attractions, Live Entertainment Theaters Fuel Popularity

(Branson, Missouri; January 24, 2022) – For the 11th year in a row, the TripAdvisor community has voted #ExploreBranson in the top 20 US destinations, this year No. 3 in the “Top Trending U.S. Destinations” category.

That Branson is packed with visitor delights – many new and unique – aligns with what travelers want.

“As the world returns to travel, priorities are changing, and people want more memorable experiences on their trips. Three-quarters (75%) of Americans say that it’s important they ‘see new places’ when thinking about their future travel plans,” said TripAdvisor’s Steven Paganelli.

“Branson adds new activities and family fun every year, providing a virtually endless list of interesting experiences,” said Lynn Berry, Explore Branson Director of Communications. “We’ve been entertaining guests for decades, yet the number of visitors has been increasing annually, this is largely attributable to the fun and new things to see and do.”

Some of Branson’s most popular offerings are dozens of live entertainment theatres, iconic Silver Dollar City theme park, Ozark Mountains’ majesty, three pristine lakes, award-winning museums, shopping venues, scores of restaurants of every kind, and some of the best golf courses in the country.

Regarding golf, Branson is home to 10 courses including the recently awarded “Best New Public Course in America” by Golf Digest. Designed by Tiger Woods, Payne’s Valley is a fun and geologically astounding course, largely due to its bonus 19th hole – “The Big Rock.” The par-3 island green is surrounded by water on all sides at the surface level and towering limestone cliffs with waterfalls cascading down them. An amenity of Big Cedar Lodge, build by Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris, it’s no wonder the amazing natural elements steal the show here.

Five of Missouri’s top 10 rated courses – including the top three – are in the Branson golf destination. And three of those are ranked among the top 100 nationally.

While golf is thriving in Branson, it is made more appealing thanks to the destination’s plethora of complementary other attractions. Three superb lakes offer boating and water sports. Astounding museums – Titanic Branson and Ancient Ozarks Natural History – showcase displays not found anywhere else. Hundreds of restaurants and lodging establishments beckon, along with a variety of live entertainment shows and outdoor adventures (zip lines, world-class fishing).
